Dr Savvas Spanos

Director

Dr Savvas Spanos is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Physiotherapy of the University of Thessaly where he teaches the modules “Kinesiotherapy” and “Clinical Electrotherapy”. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Physiotherapy (1992), T.E.I. of Athens, a Master’s Degree (2003) from the School of Health and Social Care, University of Greenwich, UK and a Doctoral Degree (2018) from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Thessaly. His research interest is focalized on the musculoskeletal assessment and rehabilitation of spine diseases as well as on the human proprioception and balance. He is an Assistant Director at the “Human Performance and Rehabilitation Laboratory”. He taught the module “Continuing Professional Development” in the past and now he teaches the module “Special Clinical Issues”, at the Master Studies Program “Advanced Physiotherapy”, University of Thessaly. He has also curried out a number of Postgraduate Lectures at the Spine Department of the Hellenic Scientific Society of Physiotherapy. Dr Spanos is also the Erasmus Coordinator of the Faculty of Physiotherapy, University of Thessaly and he holds plenty of clinical experience (26 years).
